Personal: Played football, baseball and wrestled at Schenectady High School. Derek goes by “D” and his favorite music is Motown. Adams’ favorite sport other than football is baseball and his best non-athletic talent is drawing. His greatest moments in life have all been with his kids.

2009: Assigned to Albany on 4/8/09…Made his Firebirds debut on 4/10/09 vs. Florida and led the team in rushing yards…Scored his first touchdown of the season on a 6-yard rumble on 4/18/09 at Manchester. ..Placed on team suspension on 06/04/09.
