College: Played four years as a split end for UAlbany (2004-2007) and led the Great Danes in receptions for three straight seasons. During his senior campaign had a team-high 28 catches for 233 yards and 1 touchdown and helped UAlbany win the 2007 Conference title; it’s first NEC Championship since 2003…Awarded the Team Reciever of the Year in 2005.
Personal: Played football and ran track for Holy Cross High School in Flushing, NY. Irani’s nickname is “Nito” and his favorite food is Mac & Cheese. Irani’s favorite sport other than football is soccer and his biggest challenge in life was transitioning from Brazil to the US.
2009: Assigned to Albany on 12/4/08…Suffered an injury during training camp and placed on IR on 3/14/09.
